Pineapples line the street stand, ripe for the delight of fruit lovers on the go! (Jones, 2026)
Stopping for a bite of pineapple includes pulling over on the side of the road in the warm sun and picking out your perfect piña from a friendly vendor. Then, the colorful fruit is sliced up efficiently right in front of you, seasoned with Chamoy and tajín if desired, and you’re sent on your way! The pineapple is juicy, ripe, and oh-so-satisfying. It’s the perfect treat for hungry tourists on the go.
Coconuts have a similar approach: pull over at a market stand selling coconuts when you spot one. This is the perfect treat because coconuts contain the best of both worlds - full of refreshing coconut water and the meaty goodness of the fruit itself. After selecting your prize, the coconuts are diced and drained, then handed back in a plastic bag with a straw. Pro tip: drink all the fresh coconut water first, then tear into the “comida de coco,” aka the coconut meat!
