We get it — life can get revuelta (a mix of plans and surprises).
We’ll always do our best to be flexible, but because each trip involves local partners, accommodations, and guides, we have to stick to a few important policies.

Chero Travel Cancellation Policy

Day Tours

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time are eligible for a full refund, less any applicable processing fees.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time are non-refundable.

  • No-shows or late arrivals are considered non-refundable and are not eligible for rescheduling or credit.

We encourage travelers to notify us as soon as possible if changes to their itinerary are required.

Multi-Day Tours and Travel Packages

Each travel package has unique cancellation terms based on supplier agreements. Please refer to your booking confirmation or travel documentation for specific details.

General Payment & Cancellation Guidelines

  • Payment for your trip is due 30 days before arrival.

  • If you book within 30 days of your travel date, full payment is required at the time of booking to lock everything in.

  • Cancellations made 29–16 days before arrival may receive a partial refund with a fee.

  • Any cancellations made 15 days or fewer before arrival are non-refundable.

Modifications & Changes

  • Requests to modify travel dates, itineraries, or participant information must be submitted in writing.

  • All modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional charges, including supplier change fees.

  • Chero Travel reserves the right to treat a significant modification as a cancellation and rebooking. In these cases, standard cancellation fees will apply.

Refund Processing

Refunds (when applicable) will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after written confirmation of cancellation.
Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution and our partners’ policies.

Force Majeure

Chero Travel is not liable for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, political unrest, or transportation disruptions.

In such cases, standard cancellation fees may still apply, and any potential refunds will depend on supplier policies.

Travel Insurance & Unexpected Changes

Our cancellation policy also applies to cancellations or changes resulting from travel delays or unforeseen circumstances.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip investment.
Please note that Chero Travel is not responsible for any losses resulting from delays, cancellations, illness, or medical expenses — even if your travel insurance does not cover them.
